We are delighted to announce a new partnership with ADHD Norfolk, which will allow us to work together to alleviate lower attainment levels and high exclusion rates associated with children who have ADHD. Funding has been secured via the Awards For All programme to help with this project.
We will be delivering the ADHD and Sport programme, which starts today, as studies have shown that children with ADHD can benefit from taking part in regular physical activity. Research has indicated that children with ADHD need time to relax their mind in the school situation so sport will be used as an intervention tool to help those who struggle cope with the school day.
This is another example of sport being used to actively change young people’s lives and we couldn’t be more pleased to be working with ADHD Norfolk to help build confidence and self-esteem amongst these youngsters.
